Roisin and Brian’s big day at Prestwold Hall in Leicestershire, and don’t they look happy!
Their chosen theme was predominantly black and white lace and worked really well in the surroundings of Prestwold Hall.
It was certainly a busy morning setting everything up – the team had so much to do – the result was well worth the effort.
The first job was to get everything inside the venue which Mark and Sally undertook efficiently and quickly. Mark liaised with the venue to see where we could put everything, particularly our candy cart as at that stage no space had been allocated for it.
We got straight stuck into decorating the chairs. First the covers, then the black satin sashes which I then overlaid with our gorgeous white scallop-edged lace sashes. For the finishing touch a pink cameo and diamante pearl brooch was positioned into the centre of each bow.
Meanwhile Sally was busy setting up the tables – satin table runners overlaid with lace to match the chairs. Next Sally laid out our gorgeous white cotton embroidered napkins that were enveloped in our handmade satin and lace napkin wraps. And finally the candelabras took their pride of place on the tables … dripping with crystals which just added that little something extra.
Mark assembled the table plan which he had meticulously created a new backing for earlier in the week – first a couple of coats of paint for the backboard, overlaid with … lace firmly affixed into place – it looked stunning.
Next Sally sorted the lamp posts for the aisle.
Later in the evening Sally returned to the venue to set up the candy cart and put into position the lollipop bush in readiness for all the sweet-toothed guests.
The bride’s mother, Paula, kindly left a review on the website:
The room looked absolutely exquisite on the day. I really appreciated your advice and great ideas and the attention to detail, too numerous to itemise here. Paula McSorley
